Rollyo as a custom search engine was fine, but I didn't like the ads. I found some fun stuff in LibrarianWoes. Google is familiar and it was easier to get to what I was searching. Using some of my favorite sites I created a Physics & Physicists custom search engine.
Like all other website tools we've been introduced to, they're useful in finding sources in one place. I could see creating a custom search engine for local events.
